I grew up in Cecil County, Maryland. My background is solidly blue collar. My heritage is English, Scottish, Welsh, Danish and a touch of Spanish. In other words pure American Heinz 57. My father was a truck driver and my mother worked various jobs, mostly in retail during her life. My maternal grandparents were of farming stock and were central in forging my values.

Over the course of my life I've been a soldier, government employee, worked in just about every level of residential property management, been a real estate agent, a photographer, and now a music producer. The songs I write come from my life and observations I made along the way. I'm still taking photos by the way.

Music has always been a part of my life. I like almost every kid of my generation at least dreamed of being a rock star. I had long yearned to learn piano, but there always seemed to be something else more important that demanded my attention. I cannot sing, so it seemed those rock star dreams would remain nothing more than dreams. In the fall of 2025 I began to explore the idea of AI assisted video. And since video means background music, one led to the other. The more I explored the musical aspects of AI, the more intrigued with the possibilities I became. Instead of using AI just to produce background tracks for videos, I began experimenting. I used AI to assist me with writing lyrics and then Suno to set those lyrics to music and provide vocals. Then I began writing more, leaning less on AI and pulling from my memories and observations. I discovered I could write songs, that I have a voice and something worth saying. How well is something you’ll have to determine for yourself. I started taking piano lessons in early summer 2026. I don’t know how far I’ll go, but it is certain I’ll at least attempt music composition. There will be piano tracks I play added to the songs I produce. The dreamer would love for a major artist to cover one of my songs. Now that would be awesome.

About that Celtic thing. I like to experiment, I have Scottish ancestors, and I love bagpipes. I love Mull of Kintyre by Paul McCartney, Grafhaidh Me Thu by Glen Campbell, and so many others. Every year I go to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Fair and have a blast watching Celtic Legacy perform. Early on in learning how to use Suno I developed the idea of turning Christmas classics like Silent Night into a Celtic rock song with bagpipes. I was a little hesitant when I first released the video on YouTube. I couldn't help but wonder if I had gone a little too far with what is probably the most beloved of Christmas songs. Views started climbing and kept on climbing. Then I gave Angels We Have Heard on High the same treatment. And then I wrote an original I called Beyond the Season. All told those 3 videos have accumulated over 140,000 views. Being a small channel new to featuring music videos, that was a really big deal to me. As the 2025 Holiday Season wound down, I kept writing. By January 2026, my focus was more on Southern Rock, but I also kept coming back to Christmas songs. By July I had written a total of 6 originals and covered Good King Wenceslas and Aud Lang Syne. Look for Celtic Christmas to start releasing in October 2026.
