I grew up in Cecil County, Maryland. My background is solidly blue collar. My heritage is English, Scottish, Welsh, Danish and a touch of Spanish. In other words pure American Heinz 57. My father was a truck driver and my mother worked various jobs, mostly in retail during her life. My maternal grandparents were of farming stock and were central in forging my values.

Over the course of my life I've been a soldier, government employee, worked in just about every level of residential property management, been a real estate agent, a photographer, and now a music producer. The songs I write come from my life and observations I made along the way.

Music has always been a part of my life. I like almost every kid of my generation at least dreamed of being a rock star. I had long yearned to learn piano, but there always seemed to be something else more important that demanded my attention. I cannot sing, so it seemed those rock star dreams would remain dreams. In the fall of 2025 I began to explore the idea of AI assisted video. And since video means background music, one led to the other. The more I explored the musical aspects of AI the more intrigued with the possibilities I became. Instead of using AI just to produce background tracks for videos, I began experimenting. I used AI to assist me with writing lyrics and then Suno to set those lyrics to music and provide vocals. Then I began writing more, leaning less on AI and pulling from my memories and observations. I discovered I could write songs, that I have a voice and something worth saying. How well is something you’ll have to determine for yourself. I started taking piano lessons in early summer 2026. I don’t know how far I’ll go, but it is certain I’ll at least attempt music composition. There will be piano tracks I play added to the songs I produce. The dreamer would love for a major artist to cover one of my songs. Now that would be awesome.
